A PROJECT to refurb a Basingstoke office building has been completed.

Work on the 95,000 sq ft office building Matrix House has concluded on a refurbishment including external landscaping, a new entrance and elevations, the creation of a café in the atrium, a revamp of the common areas as well as the conversion of the former restaurant area into a new office suite all completed.

Following its completion, occupiers including Handelsbanken, CGI, Sun Life of Canada, Dilagenta, Massimo and MWR have renewed existing leases for space totalling 26,500 sq ft. Additionally, there has been a further new letting to Genus, Asset Advantage and Storck with the most recent deal seeing Cash Processing Solutions take 9,345 sq ft.

Andrew Newman, of letting agent Hollis Hockley, said: “The ongoing refurbishment and letting campaign at Matrix House has been an unqualified success.

“At present we only have two suites of approximately 2,750 and 3,200 sq ft available, the former being refurbished as an exposed services opportunity and already subject to detailed negotiations.”

“We anticipate towards the end of quarter one 2018 having one further suite available of 4,500 sq ft, with the possibility of a further suites of the same size becoming available post refurbishment in June 2018”.
