AN ALDERMASTON business is still going strong after more than 30 years.

Despite going through some turbulent times including a recession and the Brexit vote, the owners of Lola Print are proud to continue offering customers a quality service.

The company, based on Calleva Business Park, has even managed to expand and is now operating from a bigger premises.

Anna Croucher, who took over the company around 18 years ago from her brother, after he emigrated to New Zealand, said: "I didn't know anything about print at the time and was thrown in at the deep end. But since then we have expanded and are now on two floors and we have invested in new equipment, including a copier which has a fifth colour which means we can print white on colour. Most printers can't do that."

Lola Print was launched in 1986 by Anna's brother Trevor Mason, who ran it from his garage in Tadley.

It has adapted over the years to accommodate changing needs.

Customers range from businesses looking to print exhibition materials and banners to couples printing their wedding invitations.

The company has even been helping local artists print their work.

"Our excelling point is that we care about our customers," added Anna.

"We give them what they want and not what their printer tells them they have to do."

Lola Print offers a variety of services including wide format printing for architects and builders' plans and drawings; scans to PDF; encapsulation; lamination; and book binding.

And distance is not a problem.

"Due to a very efficient courier service we use, we have customers as far afield as Plymouth and Glasgow," said Anna.

She attributes the success of the business to hard work, determination and loyal clients, adding: "There's been ups and downs in the economy and we have had to tighten things but we succeeded and came out the other side."
