A SERIAL sex pest prowling the streets of Hedge End has struck again.

A woman walking her dog was the seventh victim of the teenager, who has been exposing himself to schoolgirls and young families since July.

Police believe the schoolboy prowler is one of two males responsible for a string of indecent exposures and they are warning women in the area to be extra vigilant.

The woman had been walking her dog behind Centre 2000, between Bursledon Road and St John’s Road, on December 10.

As she followed the path alongside the paddling pool at the recreation ground, at about 4.35pm, a youth, aged about 15, exposed himself to the woman as he walked past.

The offender is described as being white, 5ft 3in, with short, blond hair, wearing a caramelc o l o u r e d sweatshirt and lightc o l o u r e d jeans.

O f f i c e rs have a CCTV image of a person they want to track down in connection with their five-month hunt for the prowler.

Since July, the young man, or men, have struck in the town, often in broad daylight.

Sgt Mark O’Hanlom said: “This sort of behaviour is totally unacceptable and while it might seem innocuous and amusing to the offender, it is extremely offensive and upsetting for the person subjected to the indecent act.

“We appeal for anyone who can provide us with information to do so. In the meantime, we would urge all women in the Hedge End area to be aware of their surroundings when out alone, especially at night in isolated areas.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Hedge End police station on 101 or call Crime-stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
