TRAFFIC jams built on the southbound M3 near Winchester after a silver-coloured van ended up on its roof.
The vehicle came to rest in the slow lane after the accident, which took place between junctions 11 and 12 at Otterbourne.
Emergency services cordoned off the lane at around 8am on Saturday (June 26), but managed to keep the other two open.
However, a traffic jam soon built, and before long it was tailing back to junction 10 at Bar End.
Winchester fire crews attended but the driver of the van did not have to be cut out of the wreckage.
There were also no reports of any life-threatening injuries.
