A Winchester pub is set to reopen next month after being closed for several weeks.

The Willow Tree in Durngate Terrace closed suddenly just before Christmas but is now set to reopen in March under new tenants.

Incoming licensees Jurina and Brian Ahearn will be the third tenants at the pub in just over a year.

A Greene King spokesman said: “We are delighted to confirm that we have appointed new licensees to the Willow Tree in Winchester to take the business forward. We are currently in the process of carrying out minor refurbishments to the pub to freshen it up ready for it to re-open by the beginning of March.

“We apologise for any inconvenience the temporary closure caused and wish new licensees Jurina and Brian Ahearn all the best of luck. We know they are looking forward to welcoming customers old and new back to the pub.”
