The family of injured motorcyclist Martin Street from Timsbury say he is recovering well after suffering a broken leg, broken wrist and hairline fracture to the neck in a a road accident on Wednesday of last week.
The 23-year-old handyman gardener was riding his motorbike from Braishfield towards Timsbury when he collided with a green Vauxhall Vectra travelling from Belbins to Cupernham Lane. He was treated a the scene by an A&E nurse who happened to passing by at the time, before being taken to Southampton General Hospital.
Mr Street’s father, David, thanked all the wellwishers who had contacted his son.
When the Advertiser spoke to police last week our reporter was told Mr Street had suffered head injuries and was taken Winchester’s Royal Hampshire County Hospital, neither of which was correct. We apologise to anyone who may have tried to contact the wrong hospital.
