Rare archives rescued in flood drama
A quick-thinking passer-by and the swift action of firefighters and Romsey town hall staff saved thousands of rare historical records from being destroyed in a flood.
Romsey’s town clerk, Judith Giles, says she would like to find out the identity of the woman with the pram who alerted the town hall to water coming from a drain in nearby Bell Street.
