Jam factory memories preserved at museum
10:25am Friday 15th March 2013 in News
RELICS of a well-known Romsey landmark are on show at the town’s King John’s House Museum.
Staff have gathered memorabilia and memories connected to the old jam factory, which was destroyed by fire in July, 1964.
Former employees of the factory, which stood in The Hundred, near the present site of Aldi, have also come forward with their memories of the Hampshire Preserving Company.
Town historian, Barbara Burbridge, put together the exhibition, which runs until the end of May and she kicked off the show with a talk about the factory last week.
