PEOPLE will be able to tour a wartime airfield and museum after hours next week.
The Museum of Army Flying, at Middle Wallop, will be open late to the public as part of Culture 24’s Museums at Night Festival.
The event, “Meet the Pilots; Airfield Aircraft Archives”, is at 7pm on Thursday, May 15.
It will include exclusive access to the airfield with a personal tour of the Historic Aircraft Flight that is based at Middle Wallop, exclusive guided tours around the museum by pilots who flew aircraft and access to historic archives and film footage.
There will also be a presentation by Lieutenant Colonel David Amlot on the use of the Apache attack helicopter during the Jugroom Fort rescue mission in Afghanistan in January, 2007.
