A CHRISTMAS Fair has raised more than £2,000 for national and local charities.
Fifteen charities had stalls at Saturday’s fair at the Crosfield Hall and the event was opened by Test Valley’s Mayor Jan Lovell.
These included the British Red Cross, Romsey Family Support Group, Romsey Opportunity Group, the Jubilee Sailing Trust, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Guide Dogs, Labrador Rescue Trust, Humane Research Trust, the Trussell Trust, Romsey Stroke Club along with Rose Road Association, Machan Trust, Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, Muscular Dystrophy and Evangelist Action Brazil.
A total of £2,238 was raised at the event and Wendy Knight from the British Red Cross commented: “It all went very well. We (British Red Cross) took £208 on our table."
