HE’S a handsome hunk and he’s looking for your votes to become Mr Hampshire 2015.

Firefighter James Everett from Rownhams is up against stiff opposition in tomorrow’s finals of the competition.

James, who is a full-time firefighter at Southsea and a retained firefighter at Romsey, admits that he’s got his work cut out to take the title.

In addition to looks and pesonality, voluntary work is also considered by the judging team which includes the current Mr England, Jordan Williams, and Kirsty Hesselwood who was Miss England/UK 2013.

“The other guys who have applied have also got a lot going for them, they also do great work in raising money for their chosen charities too, so is going to be very tight!” he said.

Former lifeguard James, who stripped down to his boxer shorts in 2013 to pose for a Romsey Rapids charity calendar in aid of Cancer Research, volunteers at Southampton General Hospital.

“I currently do voluntary work on the Piam Brown Ward (children’s cancer unit) every Monday evening. I help with arts and crafts, doing masks and bracelets etc, to help take their minds of their illness and being in hospital,” he said.

The competition is being run alongside the Miss Hampshire contest. To vote for James go to the ‘Miss Hampshire’ Facebook page.
