A LITTLE girl from a Test Valley village has continued her fundraising efforts to help seriously ill children by having her hair cut.

Lexi Bramall grew her red hair to below her waist enough so that she could donate it to a charity who provide wigs for girls suffering from cancer.

Her nine-inch locks will allow the Little Princess Trust to create two wigs for desperately ill children.

The eight year-old also managed to raise more than £720 for the Little Princess Trust which will help the charity create two more wigs.

She smashed her initial target of £350 with a bit of help from her friends at Stroud School.

Lexi said: "I really enjoyed cutting my hair off for the Little Princess's Trust, it made me feel really good about what I had done. I watched a video of a little girl being given a wig and that's what got the idea started, the look on her face was amazing and now I've been able to do that for two more children with my hair and fundraising.”

Her success comes after she raised £250 by singing on doorstep in her village of Awbridge at Christmas.

Her mother Karen said: “Lexi is such a kind and caring little soul, she's always thinking of others and we're super proud of her for her efforts.”
