Police launch investigation after raid at Hampshire jewellers
POLICE are investigating a burglary at a Hampshire jewellers.
Officers were called to a break-in at Offord and Sons jewellers on Church Street, Romsey, which happened around 4.30am on Saturday.
The front window of the shop was smashed and jewellery from the display stolen.
Officers were deployed to the scene following the report.
A 17-year-old male from Southampton was arrested nearby on suspicion of burglary.
He was taken into custody for questioning before being released on bail.
A Hampshire police spokeswoman said the suspect had been bailed until January 19.
