A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital after a car crashed into the side of a building in Romsey.
It is thought the vehicle was heading down the A27 towards the junction on the A3090 yesterday when the driver continued over the road and collided with a building.
A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received a call 15.42 following a single car RTC on the A27 at Mainstone, Romsey.
"The driver was an approximately 80-year-old female who it was reported had driven into a brick wall and was complaining of chest and knee pain.
"We sent an officer in a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance to the scene and she was taken to Southampton General."
The car has now been removed from the scene.
