A WELL-used road in Romsey is to be partially-closed for several weeks as emergency works take place.
Gas main repairs will be carried out on The Hundred until Friday, June 30. This means the eastbound carriageway will be shut to traffic.
Work started on Monday, June 12. Southern Gas Networks are undertaking the works.
And, as a result, the bus stop on the road, going away from the town centre (east), will also be closed.
Residents are instead advised to either go to the Bus Station or opposite Abbey Lodge.
Nevertheless, for traffic coming into town (west), a temporary bus stop has been step up outside the police station.
For motorists, alternative routes are in place and signage has been set up.
