THE Met Office has issued a weather warning for torrential rain in Hampshire.
The warning was put in place at midnight and runs for 24 hours, and heavy rain is expected to batter the county.
A forecast suggests that the heaviest period of rainfall will be between 1pm and 6pm.
A statement says: "After a mostly dry start with some sunny spells in the southeast of the region, outbreaks of rain will spread from the northwest during the day, the rain heavy and perhaps thundery at times."
