AFTER this summer’s successful Romsey Festival, thoughts are already turning to the next scheduled date – July 2020.
With the changing face of the festival there needs to be more people involved in its organisation and planning.
The Romsey Festival has been running every three years since 1987, run entirely by enthusiastic volunteers.
This year’s festival had an extremely small organising committee of six people led by chairman, Dick Hewett, who is now standing down after running two successful festivals.
The committee has been looking to expand in order to be sustainable for future festivals and is pleased to announce that several volunteers have come forward.
The committee, however, is still seeking a secretary and a chairman.
A public meeting is planned for September 18 at 7.30pm at Romsey Town Hall, Court Room. This meeting is open to 2017 participants and those interested in future festivals.
