ROMSEY pupils set up an obstacle course challenge in a bid to fundraise for Romsey Young Carers.

Students from Romsey Abbey C of E Primary School organised the course for other students to try and beat for the charity, which offers support and care for those helping to care for others in the town.

Alongside the course, the children also had the chance to soak the teacher, with wet sponges and a line of educators queuing up to help out.

The charity had come into the school to talk to the pupils about the work they do in the town.

Head teacher Julie-Anne Palfrey said: "Young carers offer fun and respite activities, such as clubs, outings and day trips, and we are so pleased that our pupils decided to raise money for this charity."

The students managed to raise £99.
