THE University of Winchester has announced management changes.

A new senior management team has been created along with a new director for Winchester Business School.

Former director of the business school, Prof Neil Marriott, now joins Prof Elizabeth Stuart as Deputy Vice-Chancellor.

Meanwhile former director of finance and strategy Simon Cowhig becomes Assistant Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Education, Health and Social Care, Prof Joyce Goodman, becomes Pro Vice-Chancellor.

Prof David Birks takes over as director of the business school and new Dean of the Faculty of Business, Law and Sport, from April 1.

Prof Birks is a specialist in marketing research and fashion with more than 25 years’ teaching and management experience.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Joy Carter said: “This is a very exciting time for Winchester. Despite the rise in tuition fees, the University has continued to thrive. It is more important than ever before that we have strong leadership with a shared vision to ensure the delivery of the highest quality student experience.”
