SOME choose to raise money for charity through daring deeds or excruciating exercise.

But staff at Tegfield House care home in Chilbolton Avenue, Winchester chose a comfier way of doing some good.

They took part in a pyjama day to raise £50 for children’s charity Wish ‘Em Well, making donations in return for wearing their bed clothes.

Manager Shirley Bartlett said “This was a wonderful opportunity to support a very worthy cause and have a little fun in the process. Some of our residents thought it was hilarious, seeing us working away as usual but in our pyjamas. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the day.”

The money will go towards getting a Winchester girl to the USA for specialist radiotherapy treatment.
