Police appeal after card theft from hotel near Winchester
THIS is the man police want to speak to after the theft of a bank card from a Winchester hotel which later led to a four-figure cash withdrawl.
They have issued CCTV of a man following an incident at the Marwell Hotel at Colden Common between 11.25pm on Thursday, September 12 and 9.30am on Friday, September 13.
A phone call was received during the morning of Friday, September 13 to the victim's hotel room from a man claiming to be from the victim's bank and the pin number was obtained.
The card was then used to withdraw £2,900 at the Halifax building society on Above Bar Street in Southampton.
PC Caz Bulpit, from Winchester police station, said: “We would like to speak to the man in the CCTV as we believe he may be able to help with our investigation.”
