WINCHESTER college students were thrown back into the playground last week surprising local primary school children with a special visit.

Lower sixth students from Peter Symonds College gave the year two children with a specialist PE lesson as part of their college course.

The lesson formed part of their studies in the BTEC extended diploma in Sport.

As part of the course, college students take part in the Community Sports Leaders Award, which tests both their knowledge and practical abilities.
