WINCHESTER charity, Friends of the Family, has been celebrating its 20th anniversary with a party.

The celebrations were rounded off on Sunday December 8 when past and present families and volunteers came together for a tea party at the Friends Meeting House, Colebrook Street.

More than 50 guests attended the event including the founder Ann Titman and the Mayor and Mayoress, Ernie and Barbara Jeffs.

There was plenty to eat with fun and games for the children to play and everyone enjoyed the party atmosphere.

The children in the 5s to 13s Project had also created a beautiful ceramic wall plaque during a summer workshop to commemorate the anniversary and it takes pride of place on the Friends of the Family office wall in the garden of the Friends Meeting House.

The milestone has been marked by several events to celebrate its confidential support to more than 300 local families over the last 20 years.
