WINCHESTER detectives are investigating a suspicious car fire in Alresford.

A silver Landrover Discovery was damaged by fire on a driveway of a house on Spring Gardens between 11.05pm and 11.45pm on Monday, December 9.

Det Con Richard Jones said: “Do you have any knowledge of suspicious behaviour in the vicinity of Spring Gardens on Monday, December 9? Did you see anyone you didn’t know or hear anything suspicious?”

He said the police would like to hear from anyone who has private CCTV in the area of Spring Gardens, New Farm Road and Jacklyns Lane.

A 45-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man, both from Totton, and a 67-year-old man from Blackfield have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson.

They were being questioned today by police.
