Major delays after motorway lane closure due to Winchester road traffic collision
A ROAD traffic accident involving three cars caused major delays for commuters on the M3 near Winchester this morning (Wednesday).
The accident happened at about 8am between junctions 11 and 12 and involved a silver Nissan Micra, a black Peugeot 407 and a silver Skoda Roomster.
One of the drivers was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution and no other injuries were reported.
One lane was closed but was open again by 9am.
