THEY were no ordinary carol singers at a Badger Farm supermarket recently.
The Wessex Chordsmen barber shop group, who perform close harmonies, were there to raise funds for charity.
Other singers who performed over the weekend (DEC 14/15) included Winchester Music Club, the Tudor Rose singing club, and the choir from Oliver’s Battery Primary School.
The event was part of Sainsbury’s National Carol Singing weekend, which saw carol singers perform at their local supermarket across the county.
The singing extravaganza is part of the retailers drive to donate over £400 million to charitable causes by 2020.
