COLDEN Common residents have been celebrating the success of its children by awarding them at a special carol service.

Boys and girls in the Winchester 9th Cubs were given silver awards at the Christmas carol service in Trinity Church last month (December 19) and a special introduction from the Reverend Jonah Watts.

Presenting the service was Group Scout Leader Steve Cox who praised the contributions that had been made from all the scout groups in the village from the Beavers to the Explorers.

The Silver Awards, presented when challenges have been successfully completed, were presented to the cubs by Steve Feeney, Assistant Commissioner for Cub Scouts in the Winchester District.
