WINCHESTER Guildhall is to host a series of conversations with leading figures from the church.

The discussions will cover such topics as arts and politics as the well as the changing relationship between the church and the state and the challenge of faith in the 21st century.

Kicking off the dialogues on February 28 will be John Simpson, followed by crime writer Baroness James on March 28.

The Dean of Winchester. The Very Rev James Atwell, concludes the discussions on April 25.

Each talk will be held at 7pm.

Tickets cost £10 (50 per cent student discount) and all proceeds from the series will be donated to the Cathedral appeal.
