PARENTS in Twyford have been given a helping hand after the local playgroup re-opened on Monday (February 24).

Following on from their successful registration, Twyford Playgroup officially reopened at the Hunter Park pavilion to excited children and even-more thrilled parents.

A spokesperson for the playgroup said: “We would like to thank Steve Brine who has raised our case with Michael Gove and helped us to secure this speedy re-registration. We have also been supported by Rob Humby, John Coughlan, the team at Service for Young Children and Ofsted themselves who have been keeping a close eye on bringing our registration through the system.

“We are so grateful to everyone who has helped us get this through so quickly not least our wonderful team who have worked hard and given up their holiday time.”

The playgroup is open between Monday to Friday from 9am to 1.30pm and children are advised to come with a spare set of clothing and a warm jumper.
