THE post-mortem was taking place this morning on the young bike rider killed in a crash on a Hampshire motocross track.

Bradley Hooper, 16, from Farnham, Surrey, died after he was struck by another machine on the circuit at Headbourne Worthy near Winchester on Sunday morning.

Bradley was taken by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital but medical staff could not save him.

He was taking part in a practice session before a race organised by Portsmouth Motocross Club.

A police investigation has been launched.

A Central Hampshire coroners officer said the inquest could be opened tomorrow.

The track has been operating for ten years and this is the first fatality.
