A CHARITY that promotes independence among the over 50s is appealing for volunteers in Winchester.

Age Concern Hampshire says they are looking for tutors to help deliver basic computer skills training for people over 50 in Winchester.

The eight week courses are tailored to suit individual’s needs, and include teachings about laptops, tablet computers and various social applications such as Skype or online banking.

Volunteers operate on a one-to-one basis, giving an hour’s tuition per week at Badge Farm and Winnall Community Centres.
