A RACE evening in memory of a young Hursley woman who recently died will be held this Saturday.
Lara Weston, 22, suffered a fatal epileptic seizure at the family home where she had lived all her life on June 17.
Since then there has been a huge outpouring of sympathy, which has now snowballed into action to raise money for Epilepsy Research UK.
The total contributed to Just Giving web page www.justgiving.com/LaraMayWeston currently stands at more than £3,200.
Now the annual Hursley and Hambledon Hunt Supporters Fun Evening is set to add to this total with the proceeds from its Horse and Pony Racing evening, set to kick-off in a field in the village of Standon at 6pm.
Parking is free, with spectators charged £5 each on the gate.
Horses and ponies entered for racing (£10 each) will be placed in groups of four on the night, ready for racing in heats.
Further details are available by calling Jackie Graham on 01794 368124.
