THE decision date on whether to build a 74m wind turbine at Sparsholt College has been pushed back.
The original date was October 13, but has been moved to January 15 as it will now go before the planning committee.
A city council spokesman said: “It has been extended because an environmental impact assessment has been submitted to support the application and so we have consulted neighbours and other consultees again.
“The application will go to committee for a decision in due course.”
Sparsholt Parish Council has opposed the plans due to an alleged lack of consultation, visual impact, threat to wildlife and aviation, and noise.
The college says the turbine will teach their students about sustainable technology.
