PERINS School has been awarded the prestigious Artsmark Gold Standard by the Arts Council England.
This national accolade celebrates schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to developing a dynamic arts programme.
The award recognises the commitment of staff, students, parents and governors at Perins in providing an enriched, broad and balanced curriculum inside and outside of school.
The Alresford school has been praised for creating opportunities for all students to engage in the arts, albeit in dance, drama or art.
Perins has previously staged school productions, held an Arts Festival week and hosted talks from successful artists to inspire students.
Headteacher, Janice Bernard, said: “This award is the culmination of much hard work and inspirational teaching and learning. I’m really proud of all the staff and students. This award demonstrates the diversity of the educational provision at Perins and highlights our commitment to providing a rounded education for all students.”
