ROADWORKS are due to be carried out across Hampshire next week affecting motorists across the county.

Work begins on Monday to strength the hard shoulder between junctions 7-10 on the M3 from Basingstoke to Winchester.

Junctions 9-8 northbound will be closed overnight, from 9pm-6am, from Monday to Friday, July 3, junctions 7-9 closed overnight from 9pm-6am on Tuesday and Thursday, and junctions 10-8 on Wednesday.

Diversions will be marked for access via the A303 and A34.

Waterproofing takes place at junction 13, Eastleigh, on the northbound entry slip road. It will be closed overnight, from 9pm-6am, on Monday for five nights.

Signs will divert drivers via Leigh Road and the A335.

Junction 5, also Eastleigh, will see the roundabout improved. The eastbound exit and entry slip roads will be closed from 10pm-6am, from Monday, which will have a reduced speed limit until the works are completed.

Drivers will be diverted via junctions 7 and 2.

The A34 from Whitchurch to Bullington will have its southbound carriageway signs replaced and improved.

One of the southbound lanes will be closed from 9pm-6am until Friday, July 24.
