GOLFERS have handed over cash to help Winchester hospital buy vital equipment.
Martin Doolan, captain of the Royal Winchester Golf Club, presented a cheque for £2,500 to Geoff Cox, chairman of the friends of Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
The money will go towards a uroflowmetre for the urology department.
The non-invasive machine will allow simple diagnostic screening procedures to calculate urine flow rate.
Money was raised through various events at the golf club during Mr Doolan's year as captain.
Roisin Hart, senior urology clinical nurse specialist, thanked him for his and the golfers' effort on behalf of patients and RHCH staff.
