WHETHER you're preparing for the Great South Run, raising money for charity or cheering on a love one, Bishop's Waltham's fun run and road race will provide a day out for everyone.

Entry is still open for the events on Sunday, September 13, organised by the town's Rotary Club.

The sponsored five-mile road race kicks off at 10.30am from Hoe Road, while the family-friendly fun run starts at 11.30am at Bishop's Waltham Junior School.

Both events finish at the school, which doubles as the event base and a beneficiary of the day's fundraising.

Changing rooms, toilets, storage and drinks will available at the school.

The races will also raise money for the Rotary Club, Naomi House hospice and other local charities.

Parking has been arranged at Hoe Road Recreation Ground as the school's spaces will be off-limits. Organisers have asked spectators and participants to walk, cycle or be dropped off if possible to reduce congestion.

Runners must check in by 10am for the road race and 11am for the fun run. There is an entry limit of 250 for each race.
