LITTLETON and Harestock's community website has been saved from closure after a local couple agreed to take over its maintenance.
Littletonandharestock.hampshire.org.uk was under threat after Hampshire County Council announced cuts to its free web hosting services, due next year.
Webmaster Brian Holloway has given up on the site's maintenance after 10 years but has passed responsibilities onto Tamzin Paskins and husband George Sallis, who recently moved to Littleton.
The site, featuring news, events and local contacts, will be moved to a new web address when the council's subsidies are cut.
