A MAN was taken to hospital after he was found partially clothed behind a shop in Winchester city centre.
The casualty, who is believed to be in his mid 30s, was discovered wearing just a T-shirt at the back of a food shop in Jewry Street at 8.10am on Friday.
Ambulance crews said the man, found on stairs at the back of the Earl of Sandwich cafe, was conscious but unable to talk and suffering from injuries which had resulted in skin loss.
Police officers, who had had initially been called by members of the public who were concerned for the man’s welfare, said he was also suffering from hypothermia.
The man was taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital by ambulance.
