POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on a country road in the Meon Valley.
The 36-year-old was riding with another motorcyclist yesterday afternoon when he was involved in the collision.
At about 4.15pm yesterday the two motorcycles were travelling south east from Morestead along Corhampton Lane.
One of the motorcycles left the carriageway at the B3035 junction and ended up on the other side of the road.
Emergency services were called to the scene but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say there is no indication the other motorcycle was involved.
The man's next of kin have been informed, with a post mortem due to take place today.
Hampshire Constabulary wants to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the motorcyclists before the collision.
Anyone with information should contact the force on 101, quoting Operation Extract.
