A KINGS Worthy woman whose dog attacked a child has been ordered to keep it under proper control or have it destroyed.
Alison Stanbrook, 45, admitted having a dog dangerously out of control.
A court heard that Stanbrook’s cocker spaniel Jordie attacked and injured a child, Isabella WalshSmith.
Basingstoke Magistrates Court ordered that Jordie must be destroyed unless it is kept under proper control on a lead and muzzled at all times in public and that it is not left tethered in public at any time.
The incident happened on June 4 at Upton Park Farm, Colden Lane, Old Alresford, the court heard.
Stanbrook, of The Pastures, was in court to admit the charge, under the 1991 Dangerous Dogs Act.
The bench fined her £260, ordered she pay £250 compensation to the victim with a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
