Hampshire fell silent as communities came together to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in two world wars and subsequent conflicts.
Wreath-laying ceremonies took place in towns and cities across the county following a two-minute silence.
One of the biggest events took place in Winchester, where a large crowd gathered to watch the wreath-laying after the Remembrance Sunday service inside the cathedral.
It was attended by hundreds of representatives from all three armed forces, plus members of uniformed youth groups.
City MP Steve brine laid a wreath at the war memorial.
In Southampton another large crowd gathered at the memorial at East Park.
The city's two MPs, Royston Smith and Alan Whitehead, were among those who laid wreaths.
