MAYFEST returns to Winchester on Saturday May 20, the biggest festival of folk dancing in the county.
There are 26 Morris and folk dance teams from all over the south of England together with Maypole dancing and circus skills for children, tap and dance work shops.
Towards the end of the day at 3.30pm will be a mass dance for audience participation in Abbey Gardens.
Then from 5pm the Guildhall will be open and Cath Watkins will be running a music and song session in the bar leading up to the ceilidh that starts at 7.30pm. Some tickets are still available.
Choirs from Barton Stacey and Testbourne Community School and the Southampton Folk Orchestra are also performing.
Sides dance at sites all around the centre of the city, the High Street, Square and especially in front of the cathedral.
In and St Lawrence's church and the cathedral grounds there are performances and workshops, including circus skills for young and old.
