WINCHESTER planners look poised to approve a scheme for dozens of new homes in Alresford.
Huxley UK has applied for 45 homes on its former factory site in The Dean.
The planning committee is today being urged by its officers to back the proposal, despite 13 objections.
Among the concerns is that it is out of scale with the surrounding two-storey houses, it is too dense and a new path could be used by skateboarders.
There have been three letters of support, saying it addresses housing need and is a good development of brownfield land.
It would see all buildings on the site demolished, a new footpath to Arlebury Park, new undercroft car parking and new access onto The Dean.
There would be ten houses and 35 flats.
