A DRIVER caught using his mobile phone in his car is now more than £400 poorer.
Mark Andrew Baker, 32, was spotted using the hand-held device whilst driving a 06-reg Ford Transit on the M3 near Micheldever north of Winchester on August 10.
Baker, of Luckham Road, Bournemouth, had the case against him proved in his absence at Basingstoke magistrates Court.
He was fined £220 with a £30 victim surcharge and £200 costs. Three penalty points were put on his licence.
