A CAR was destroyed in a fire in a busy Winchester road this morning.
A Renault Megane caught ablaze opposite a row of shops in Stoney Lane, Weeke, at around 10.30am.
The fire then spread to a nearby blue Volvo, damaging the vehicle’s boot and rear bumper.
One appliance from Winchester Fire Station was called to the scene with four firefighters using a compressed air foam system to extinguish the flames. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation but it is thought to be an electrical fault.
