Why do so many people think they have the right not to be disturbed by noise? It's 2012, not 1812.
Noise annoys but we all have to put up with it!
Actually no we don't, there are specific laws against noise disturbance. In any case, it is this kind of ill-mannered "It's my right to do as I please" attitude that is destroying this country. How about consideration for neighbours or those around you.

By the way, could you tell us where you live so that people can rev up bikes outside you house as you seem to enjoy it so much."

Motocross objectors vow to fight on after site approved near Winchester

Motocross returns to Winchester after three years of planning battles Motocross returns to Winchester after three years of planning battles

MOTOCROSS has won a permanent home near Winchester after almost a decade of disputes.

City councillors gave the green light to a site at Three Maids Hill to host year-round bike events.

It brings to an end years of planning battles between Three Maids Motocross Limited and local residents from the nearby villages of Littleton, Headbourne Worthy and South Wonston.

But objectors Three Maids Motocross Action Group are taking legal advice over the decision, after criticising planners’ efforts.

A spokesman said: “The action group is incensed by the council’s refusal to consider the impact of motocross on the community.

“At the meeting, the planning officers failed, as they had failed at the public inquiry, to present any substantive evidence, based on scientific measurement, of the noise or dust generated by the motocross operation during the trial period from 2004 to 2009.”

Cllr Stephen Godfrey, ward member for Wonston and Micheldever, and chairman of the group, added: “The planners did not even ask how much noise or how much dust would be produced and if this was reasonable — they took more account of how much it would cost the council if they refused it.”
