A PACKED programme has been announced in Hursley to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
It will start on Friday, May 25 at 8pm in the parish hall with The Madding Crowd – A Village Celebration featuring music, song and dance from the era of George III’s jubilee.
On Thursday, May 31 events will be held by the village’s lunch club along with a quiz at 8pm at the Dolphin pub. The venue will hold a hog roast the next day.
On Saturday, June 2 there will be a jubilee jive and supper, followed by a thanksgiving service at All Saints’ Church at 11am the next morning.
IBM Hursley will also be opening the historic house and gardens from 1 to 5pm on Sunday, June 3.
That evening, the Kings Head pub will host a special dinner from 7pm, followed by live music.
A party in the park on Monday, June 4 from 4pm onwards is then planned at Hursley Recreation Ground, along with lighting a jubilee beacon.
