WINCHESTER Round Table is seeking dozens of volunteers to help run its spectacular fireworks display.

The event, now in its 54th year, is one of the biggest shows in southern England, raising thousands of pounds for local charities.

This year’s show will be on Saturday November 3 starting with the torchlit procession from the Broadway at 6.30pm via Jewry Street to North Walls Park where the bonfire will be lit at 7.15pm.

The Round Table is seeking more 200 volunteers, double the number of only four years ago.

Volunteers are needed to help with marshalling, counting the number attending the free event and stewards.

Any volunteers can email Conor Gately at conor_gately@yahoo.co.uk
