Eastleigh fly to the Channel Islands tomorrow to take on St Jacques in the Gales HSB Hampshire Bowl – with their opponents picking up the tab for flights.
The Guernsey club should be the away side but offered Eastleigh the opportunity for a day out.
Eastleigh captain Russell Smith said: “This is good for our club. They asked if we wanted to come out and play the game there.
“The same laws apply so if the match ends in a draw they will be awarded the game.
“It will be a good day for us. We are treating it as a mini tour and go into the unknown because the only thing we know about them is that they are top of their league.”
In-form colt Sam Prout will fly out with the team to make his first team debut on the bench.
